Sneaky Divisiveness

What a wonderful opportunity we had in the past couple, almost three years now to find our peace in the Father. To learn how to really rest, to be still, to see a different way of examination of self through the Spirit to make changes, repent, and build. It also was a time of natural or life changes. It seemed with everything shutdown we filled our time with stuff and things which kept us occupied. Unfortunately, that is what became our true enemy without realizing it…that sneaky divisiveness.
See what happened was that we were so unsettled with being still because we were used to seeing people, had something to look forward to, we could go do whatever whenever we wanted, but when it is no longer available, we become uncomfortable with not knowing what to do with our time, so we find something. In the process of it, we lost our true push toward the Father because it seemed harmless to find things to do and slowly but surely we ended up letting those activities and in a sense mindless activities to use up our time that we could’ve invested with the Father. Further, many are guilty to finding comfort in things that were not even part of your original desires, due to accountability not being present. You were stuck at home, you could in a sense hide what you were doing. But it didn’t start that abrupt. What happened was the small groups or friends you grew closer with who you may have been the light shining to help lead them to Christ, began to chisel away little by little as they were doing them. For example, maybe they casually drank. You usually wouldn’t even be around it, but you began to stick around because you didn’t have anything else going on. Then you began participating with a sip here and there, which led to a drink and then drinks to the point you were a full-on participant. Little by little you are now in a place of it being no big deal. It’s all over the sitcoms, reality tv, advertisements, and so forth. Sticking with our example here, it seems like things are going great actually. Things seem to be quite chill and pleasant. Now the question is why? Why is there no adversity? Why is there no growth? Oh, let’s see here, first, there is a reason why the different alcohols are called spirits…go supernatural here. By drinking them you have come into agreement with what those different spirits are known for. If you’re already doing what you want, then why would there be any adversity? Because when you are caught up more in pleasing your flesh and not seeking the pleasure of the Father, then why would the enemy fight against it, he already got you? This is only one thing. And what has happened is that the desensitization of acts that are in opposition to the Father, sin, has creeped in and become acceptable. There has been a greying of the lines when it is still black and white. The lack of accountability has allowed folks to slip into self-satisfaction and the attempt of the enemy to cloud the lines, to cheer you on, and that very feeling in the pit of your gut no longer exists where you feel you did something terribly wrong when you step out of the will of the Father…or it’s so light that it does not steer you from what is continuing to shift your moral compass.
So, what happened? Remember those friends or relationships? Yeah, the lack of accountability allowed for you to be influenced vs being the influencer. If your relationships tend to cause you to compromise and pull you from the will of the Father, then you must do the hard thing to reevaluate, repent, reestablish those boundaries, find an accountability partner, deny your fleshly satisfaction to be supernaturally satisfied which is by far more fulfilling then the world. There has been a shift. I dare you to pray and reach for something…watch what happens. Seriously give it a go. Ask for something small a specific that you will recognize when it happens.

Romans 12:1-3 KJV – “1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think [of himself] more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.”
